An Intellectual Law Student Turned into Acting & Modelling – Ashuti Singh

Ashuti Singh, a law student, working in the field of digital marketing, and passionate about acting and dancing, is a young adult who is trying to explore, facing the challenges that life brings, and working hard towards making her passion of acting into a full-time career.

Her journey started on the 28th of May, 2001 in the city of Lucknow where she was born and brought up. She spent 15 years of her life in the City Montessori School, where she completed her schooling. As a child, she was always fascinated by the world of cinema and she loved to dance. Till today, she is equally passionate and enthusiastic for cinema and dancing.

After taking up science in her high school, Ashuti was convinced that it is not her cup of tea and had decided to pursue mass communication. She was also inclined towards acting but had never considered acting to be her profession. However, one day when Ashuti was in the 11th grade, she stumbled upon a motivational video and one line from that video changed her life. It said, “I can accept failure but I cannot accept the fact that I did not try.” That was the day when she decided to chase her dreams.

After her 12th board examinations, Ashuti tried out for various mass communication colleges but she could not get any good college in the field. That is when she started preparing for the law entrances. She worked very hard to clear the entrances which she did. She cleared CLAT and got into NLU Shimla. She studied in NLU Shimla for 6 months. That is when her MH CET scores came in and she decided to shift from NLU Shimla to Fergusson Law College in Pune to pursue law.

Ashuti did her first ever job when she was 18 years old. She worked with Collegedunia, a career related website as a freelance content writer. Her first ever payment was Rs. 1850 and when she received this amount of money out of her own hard work, was the day when she realised how much financial independence was important to her. From there on, Ashuti has always craved financial independence.

1.5 years of her college was online due to covid. On her 20th birthday, which was during the lockdown, a thought struck her mind and told her that she is being unproductive and that she should do something to secure her financial independence. She surfed through various skills that she could learn during her free time and that could help her earn some extra money. That is when she started learning digital marketing. She studied digital marketing and then started working in the field. She worked for Brandshark, a digital marketing agency as a social media manager.
She is currently working for Street Food Pune in the field of marketing. She is also in her 3rd year of law. She does theatre too and is also attending classes in Kathak and Camera Acting.

Ashuti, passionately pursuing her dream of acting, has been able to do a short film named ‘Phobia’ and a web show on voot select named ‘Taali’ starring Sushmita Sen. She also is a working model and has worked for various photographers and several clothing brands like gurushadesigns and chaitalli collections etc. She recently did a successful play ‘Mastmaula’ in December and her upcoming play will release in the end of March.

She is a hard-working girl and is working with her utmost ability every single day to make her dreams a reality.
